This is a vital role for artists who possess a keen eye for cinematic detail and a passion for crafting the final visual polish that defines our high-end productions.

The Role: Refining the Cinematic Vision

As a Final Layout Artist, you will serve as the bridge between preliminary staging and the final animation/rendering stages. You will take the foundational work from earlier departments and elevate it to a production-ready state, ensuring that every frame aligns with the director’s creative vision and the high technical standards of Netflix Animation.

This position requires a deep technical understanding of 3D environments and a sophisticated artistic sense of cinematography. You will not only be responsible for placing assets but for breathing life into sequences, ensuring that every camera movement, set dressing detail, and staging choice serves the narrative beats of the story.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily contributions will be essential to the visual integrity of our films. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Cinematic Refinement: Fine-tuning cinematic staging and camera setups to enhance visual impact and narrative flow.
• Set Dressing & Composition: Carefully refining set dressing to ensure visual cohesion and environmental storytelling consistency across all sequences.
• Continuity Management: Maintaining strict continuity and stylistic consistency throughout complex sequences, ensuring that the visual language remains seamless from one shot to the next.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working closely with animation, modeling, and lighting teams to ensure all shots are delivered to the highest quality standards and within production timelines.
• Documentation & Innovation: Documenting technical workflows and participating in the development of creative solutions to production hurdles, ensuring we remain at the forefront of animation technology.

✨ What You’ll Do:

• Fine-tune cinematic staging & camera setups
• Refine set dressing for visual cohesion
• Maintain continuity and consistency across sequences
• Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality shots on time
• Document processes and assist with creative solutions

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5+ years in final layout for animated features, TV, or VFX films
• Proficiency in Maya (Blender knowledge a plus)
• Strong understanding of camera animation, framing, composition & cinematography
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable to new workflows
