As a Character Animator at Netflix Animation Studios, your primary objective is to create vivid, believable performances that propel our storytelling forward. Key Responsibilities

Your daily contributions will be essential to the success of our production pipeline. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Character Performance: Crafting expressive and fluid animation that captures complex emotional states and physically convincing motion.
• Creative Collaboration: Engaging actively in dailies, review sessions, and collaborative discussions to iterate on performances and maintain visual consistency across sequences.
• Narrative Alignment: Partnering with Directors and Animation Leads to translate written stories into powerful on-screen visual experiences.
• Production Excellence: Managing your time efficiently, adhering to production schedules, and consistently hitting project milestones without sacrificing quality.

What We Are Looking For

We value technical mastery as much as artistic vision. To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• Foundation: A rock-solid grasp of the fundamental principles of animation, including timing, spacing, weight, and appeal.
• Technical Proficiency: Professional-level skill in Maya (or an equivalent high-end 3D animation software).
• Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience working in feature films, VFX, high-end television, or the gaming industry.
• Portfolio: A high-quality demo reel (maximum 2 minutes) that demonstrates your ability to showcase acting, emotional range, and a sophisticated understanding of weight in character movement.
• Collaborative Spirit: You are a team player who communicates clearly, welcomes constructive feedback, and is enthusiastic about learning new tools and evolving your craft.
