The Role: Beyond Art Creation

This position is not merely about executing tasks; it is about taking ownership of the environment creation process. As a Senior 3D Environment Artist, you will bridge the gap between creative execution and production management. You will work directly with clients to interpret their briefs, helping to shape the project pipeline from pre-production through to final delivery.

This is a leadership-adjacent role. While your primary output is the creation of breathtaking game environments, you will also serve as a mentor to junior artists, providing feedback, performing first-level reviews, and ensuring that the team’s work remains consistent, high-quality, and on-schedule. You will be the point person for technical troubleshooting, ensuring that our artistic efforts translate seamlessly into the real-time engine environments.

Key Responsibilities

Your contributions will be essential to the visual success of our upcoming AAA titles. Your core responsibilities include:

• Client Collaboration: Carefully study and interpret client creative briefs, ensuring that all requirements are fully understood before production begins.
• Production Planning: Actively participate in effort estimation, resource planning, and pre-production strategy to ensure that artistic goals align with technical and timeline constraints.
• High-End Asset Creation: Use industry-leading tools (Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Blender, and Photoshop) to build detailed, high-quality 3D assets that are optimized for game engines.
• Engine Integration: Utilize Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unreal Engine, and Unity to create high-performance assets with complex real-time shaders.
• Team Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members through coaching and first-level reviews, ensuring the entire department hits its quality benchmarks.
• Pipeline Management: Uphold rigorous standards for file structure, naming conventions, and asset delivery, ensuring that our technical pipeline remains clean and accessible.
• Proactive Communication: Regularly engage in team meetings, proactively flagging technical risks or production bottlenecks before they impact the project’s success.

What We Are Looking For

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in creating 3D art for AAA game titles.
• Environment Mastery: A portfolio that showcases your ability to create diverse, detailed, and immersive 3D environments.
• Technical Pipeline Knowledge: A deep understanding of modern game art pipelines and expertise in working within real-time engines (Unreal/Unity).
• Professional Attributes: You must be a self-starter who works well within a team, possessing the communication skills necessary to bridge the gap between the studio and our international clients.
• Eye for Quality: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering only the highest-quality work.
