Job Summary : Animation Supervisor

Role Overview: Directing Character Performance & Pipeline Quality

As the Animation Supervisor at Kayhan Entertainment, you will serve as the principal creative and technical authority for all character motion across our productions. Your primary mission is to elevate the quality of animation, ensuring every performance strikes an emotional chord with audiences while adhering to strict project milestones.

You will manage and mentor a talented team of animators, reviewing shots, providing actionable feedback, and bridging the gap between animation and other crucial departments like Layout, Lighting, and Compositing. Your leadership will set the visual standard for our studio’s future storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and mentor a growing team of animators, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
• Quality Control & Shot Review: Rigorously review shots during dailies, offering constructive, precise feedback to maintain top-tier visual standards.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner smoothly with Layout, Rigging, Lighting, and Compositing teams to ensure a seamless production pipeline.
• Motion Dynamics Oversight: Enforce deep adherence to classical animation principles, timing, weight, and complex motion dynamics.
• Deadline Execution: Manage department schedules efficiently, ensuring all artistic milestones are delivered consistently on time and within scope.
• Problem Solving: Actively troubleshoot creative and technical roadblocks, offering clear, innovative solutions to complex animation challenges.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Professional Tenure: 10+ years of extensive hands-on experience in professional animation production for film, TV, or high-end digital media.
• Leadership Background: A proven, demonstrable track record of successfully leading, managing, and mentoring animation teams in studio environments.
• Artistic Mastery: Exceptional understanding of core animation principles, timing, spacing, weight distribution, and character acting.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities with strong cross-departmental coordination skills.
• Commitment to Excellence: A rigorous work ethic focused on meeting tight production deadlines without compromising artistic integrity.
