Project Information & Real Studio Operations
At Rural Games, we believe that interns learn best by contributing to real, active studio workflows. You will not be tucked away in an administrative silo during your Rural Games HR Internship; you will be an integral part of managing our distributed global workforce.
Your operational efforts directly support the development teams behind our current flagship titles:
- Platform 13: A terrifying, atmospheric psychological horror experience.
- Zero Drag: An action-packed, open-world crime game built for high-speed thrills.
Your core focus will be Studio Operations and People Management, ensuring our remote teams have the structure, support, and culture they need to thrive.
Core Responsibilities as HR intern
As our HR Internship participant, your day-to-day activities will focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, and culture building. You will be responsible for:
- Talent Acquisition Support: Assist in screening applicant resumes and portfolios to help identify top-tier creative talent for various studio roles.
- Interview Coordination: Streamline the recruitment pipeline by scheduling interviews efficiently with department leads across different time zones.
- Remote Onboarding: Help welcome and integrate new interns and team members into our digital workspace and collaboration tools.
- Culture & Engagement: Brainstorm, organize, and host virtual team-building events to keep our remote studio connected and motivated.
- Data Maintenance: Keep employee records, tracking portals, and internal documentation organized and up to date.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for detail-oriented, professional individuals who care deeply about workplace culture and human connection.
Required Skills:
- Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and professional discretion.
- Comfortable working with Google Workspace or similar cloud-based productivity suites.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- A genuine interest in or passion for the video game industry.
- Familiarity with community management platforms like Discord.
- Basic working knowledge of digital recruitment platforms and applicant tracking tools.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to current students, freshers, self-taught developers, and recent graduates.
- Must be 18 years or older.

- Must possess a stable internet connection and a reliable device for seamless remote collaboration.
