Glow Production is seeking a talented and driven Senior Animator to join our cinematic team and help us push the boundaries of visual storytelling. In this role, you will combine exquisite acting principles with a strong cinematic eye to create breathtaking sequences. What You’ll Be Doing

• Character & Creature Performance: Craft premium character and creature animations that drive the narrative and elevate the emotional weight of our cinematic sequences.
• Shot Ownership: Take full responsibility for your assigned shots, ensuring successful, independent, and timely delivery from early layout through to final polish.
• Performance Reference: Actively film and utilize video reference to ground your acting choices and body mechanics in realism and believability.
• Collaborative Review: Engage deeply in daily dailies, offering and implementing constructive feedback to achieve the best aesthetic and performance outcomes.
• Pipeline Etiquette: Maintain highly organized, workflow-friendly assets that adhere to strict pipeline standards, ensuring seamless handoffs to downstream departments.
• Team Alignment: Partner closely with Animation Leads, Directors, and fellow animators to establish, maintain, and elevate overall production quality.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Track Record: 4 to 6+ years of professional experience animating characters or creatures for cinematics, high-end gameplay, animated films, or VFX.
• Animation Mastery: Fundamental expertise in traditional animation principles, weight, acting, and complex body locomotion, backed by a stellar portfolio or showreel.
• Cinematic Composition: A strong eye for camera placement, layout, framing, and pacing to support high-end cinematic storytelling.
• Software Expertise: Deep, professional proficiency in Autodesk Maya, alongside a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical animation workflows.
• Mindset & Drive: A passionate storyteller who genuinely enjoys optimizing workflows and implementing industry best practices.
• Clear Communication: Excellent collaborative skills, with the ability to articulate creative choices and adapt smoothly to shifting creative directions.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Real-Time Integration: Knowledge or experience working within Unreal Engine (including MetaHuman) or Blender, or familiarity with emerging AI animation tools.
• Motion Capture Mastery: Proficiency in motion-captured performance pipelines, specifically with the independent handling of character retargeting.
• Technical Animation Skills: A foundational understanding of rigging, character setup, and the utilization of complex constraint techniques.
• Linguistic Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) to assist with collaborating with our wider global partners.
• Pop Culture Passion: A genuine love for games, cinematography, and anime!
