Role Overview: Weaving Elements into Seamless Masterpieces
As a Mid-Level Compositor at 22DOGS, you will serve as a crucial pillar in our final finishing pipeline. Your core mission is to take multi-pass computer-generated imagery, live-action plates, visual effects elements, and color data, integrating them flawlessly to create believable, emotionally resonant shots for commercial and cinematic projects.
Working side-by-side with our leads, supervisors, and technical directors, you will balance aesthetic eye with technical problem-solving. Whether you are tackling intricate blue/green screen keying, 2D/3D camera tracking, rotoscoping adjustments, color grading matching, or multi-pass node setups, your work will ensure that every frame meets our rigorous studio standards of visual excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Shot Integration: Seamlessly combine disparate elements—including live-action footage, CG layers, matte paintings, and atmospheric effects—into unified, photorealistic composite shots.
- Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex multi-pass script setups, managing node trees efficiently and resolving technical rendering or tracking artifacts.
- Color & Lighting Balance: Match black levels, grain profiles, color spaces, and light interactions across plates to achieve absolute visual continuity.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner closely with 3D generalists, lighting artists, and pipeline supervisors to ensure smooth data hand-offs and quick iterations.
- Deadline Management: Maintain high output quality while managing your daily milestone targets under fast-paced production deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Professional Tenure: Proven professional experience operating at a Mid-Level Compositor capacity within VFX, commercial, or episodic production environments.
- Immediate Availability: Must be ready to jump onto active projects immediately upon contract finalization.
- Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal) for seamless daily cross-studio communication.
- Legal Work Status: Strict requirement to possess valid legal eligibility and working permits within the European Union (EU).
- Artistic & Technical Eye: A sharp understanding of compositing fundamentals—including edge integration, rotoscoping, multi-pass grain management, vector warping, and spatial awareness.
