THE ROLE: THE ARCHITECT OF CHAOS & GROOM

As a Freelance Artist Houdini Expert at Form Studios, your primary mission is to deliver art-directable, high-fidelity simulations that hold up under the intense scrutiny of cinematic close-ups. We need experts who understand that a simulation shouldn’t just be “physically accurate”—it must serve the story.

Your Technical Mastery:

• Dynamic Simulations: Building complex, art-directable destruction setups (RBD) that maintain structural logic while delivering the “hero” impact required for game trailers and cutscenes.

• Soft Body & Cloth: Implementing realistic cloth simulations (Vellum) that react naturally to character performance and environmental forces like wind and collisions.

• Grooming & Hair/Fur: Creating and simulating sophisticated hair and fur setups. You must be able to manage interpolation and guide curves to ensure character aesthetics remain consistent and stunning.

• Clean Pipeline Integration: You are expected to build clean, optimized setups. Our directors need the ability to request iterations quickly, and your Houdini networks must be organized enough for rapid adjustments without a total rebuild.
