DNEG, a global leader in visual effects and animation, is seeking a talented CG Supervisor to join our team in Sydney. As a CG Supervisor at DNEG, you are a cornerstone of project success, responsible for bridging the gap between artistic vision and technical execution.

In this role, you will lead a team of artists to produce high-end CG assets and oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex VFX shots for high-profile feature films and episodic projects. You will act as a key advisor to VFX Supervisors and Directors, interpreting creative intent and managing technical production workflows to ensure that our work is not only world-class but also delivered on schedule and within budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of artists in producing high-quality CG assets and setting up efficient shot pipelines.
  • Oversee the creative and technical delivery of CG elements for shots throughout the project.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication between artists, production, and show leadership.
  • Contribute to bidding and crew planning, and provide valuable feedback on pipeline improvements.
  • Guide your team through both creative challenges and technical problem-solving, ensuring top-level results.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a CG Supervisor or Sequence Supervisor on high-end live-action VFX projects.
  • Strong creative eye and aesthetic judgment.
  • Ability to interpret a client’s vision and effectively communicate it to internal teams.
  • Skilled at pitching and presenting creative solutions to clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, simplifying complex challenges into clear solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of the end-to-end VFX pipeline.
  • Background in collaborating with R&D teams to test, refine, and deploy new tools in production.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in Maya, with proficiency in other industry-standard software.
