📍 Creative Supervision – Sydney, Australia
Position at DNEG

At DNEG, our Compositing Supervisors play a critical role in shaping the look and feel of a project. Assigned to a single show, you’ll work closely with the DFX and VFX Supervisors to lead the compositing team and deliver exceptional visual results.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and guide compositing artists, ensuring consistent methodologies and world-class quality.
  • Solve technical challenges, design shot approaches, and set the creative benchmark for your team.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors to achieve the VFX Supervisor’s creative vision.
  • Manage schedules, resources, and bids to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with color pipeline standards and client deliverables.

Must Have

  • Proven VFX industry experience as a 2D or Compositing Supervisor.
  • Strong background working directly with VFX and DFX Supervisors.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams of 2D artists.
  • Sharp creative eye with the ability to clearly brief and direct your team.
  • Solid experience in production bidding and project management.
  • Expertise in Nuke and a strong understanding of the overall VFX pipeline.
  • Advanced knowledge of color workflows and deliverables.

Nice to Have

  • On-set supervision experience.
  • Experience collaborating across global facilities.
  • Track record of mentoring and developing junior talent.
  • Experience across both film and TV projects.

The Role

  • Permanent staff position
  • Hybrid work model: minimum 2 days per week in our Sydney studio.
