Creating a Diwali poster design using artificial intelligence (AI) and Photoshop can be more exciting and unique in 2024. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Deciding the Concept of Your Design

We create this Poster on a traditional theme using diyas, Consider incorporating elements like diyas (lamps), rangoli, fireworks, and festive colors (like gold, red, and green).

Step 2: Generate a prompt with AI 

If you are new and don’t have any idea about creating or writing a professional prompt by using AI then simply using Chat-GPT you can generate a perfect prompt for a  stunning traditional Diwali Image for your Diwali Poster design. Go to Chat-GPT and type there “write a prompt for creative traditional Diwali background diyas lamps, fireworks“

Your prompt will look like this- “Design a vibrant and festive Diwali background featuring a blend of traditional and modern elements. Include glowing diyas (oil lamps) illuminating the scene with soft, warm light, surrounded by intricate rangoli patterns in bright colors like pink, yellow, and blue. In the background, sparkling fireworks in the night sky, create a sense of celebration. Incorporate golden accents and a hint of floral motifs for elegance, while keeping the atmosphere joyful and lively, reflecting the spirit of Diwali.“

Step 3: Generate a background using AI

Copy that prompt from Chat-GPT and paste that may be in AI tools like DALL-E, Midjourney, or Canva’s AI features to generate artwork or elements for your Diwali poster. I used Microsoft Designer to create the above Diwali Poster background. It depends on your choice. So, after creating the background now go to the Photoshop Dashboard to setup the page.

Step 4: Page set up in Photoshop and Background Creation

In Photoshop to set up a page go to File>New>select the page dimension A4 > click on Create Page. Now time to create a custom background using vibrant colors. You can use an AI-generated background too. We keep the background color in a dark shade, Color Code- 29100c. Write the Texts that are required for your design like adding Diwali as in the Headingsome demo texts like dates, some greetings, etc as per your choice. 

Step 5: Import AI-Generated Images

After creating the background import your Ai generated images into Photoshop. Just drag and drop your selected images into Photoshop. Arrange the elements using layers, you can use the Transform tool ( Ctrl+T or Cmd + T) to resize and position them. The first pass for the Diwali Poster design is complete.

Step 6: Adjust the Lights, colors, and finishing touch

After setting all the elements now time to enhance the color and Hue-saturation for the images. It will look great after down. You can apply some layer styles (like drop shadows, glows, or textures) to enhance your elements. Use blending modes for creative effects.
