Operating within our integrated Art Services line, you will work side-by-side with Character Artists, Animators, Lead Artists, Technical Directors, and Art Directors to deliver gorgeous, production-ready hair structures that align beautifully with the creative vision and real-time hardware constraints of our clients. Role Overview & Specifications : 3D Hair Artist Category Details Studio / Company Keywords Studios Location Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines Employment Type Full-Time, Permanent Work Setup On-site Department Art Services Core Software Stack Maya/Blender, ZBrush, XGen, Photoshop CC, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Unity Minimum Experience 2+ Years in hair modeling, grooming, and texturing     Key Responsibilities as 3D Hair Artist Asset Creation & Grooming: Design, sculpt, groom, style, and texture high-quality realistic and stylized hair assets using industry-standard tools and workflows. Pipeline Integration: Collaborate dynamically with cross-functional character artists and animators to integrate hair assets seamlessly into modern game production engines. Real-Time Optimization: Optimize hair meshes, cards, or strand-based systems for real-time rendering inside modern engines like Unreal Engine or Unity. Physics & Simulation Implementation: Implement physics-based hair movement and logic to guarantee organic, believable movement and natural dynamic reactions during gameplay. Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve rendering bugs, sorting limitations, shading bottlenecks, and engine performance constraints relating to complex hair assets. Industry Research: Stay continuously updated on global industry trends, researching novel tools and state-of-the-art technical methods for asset creation.   Required Skills & Qualifications for 3D Hair Artist Experience & Artistry Studio Footprint: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated professional studio experience in hair modeling, grooming, and texturing. Workflows: Deep understanding of real-time hair card mechanics and pre-rendered hair workflows. Artistic Core: Strong mastery of form, silhouette, surface texture, and real-world color theory. Team Dynamics: Exceptional collaborative and communicative skills, thriving inside fast-paced, milestone-driven team environments. Software Proficiency DCC Toolsets: Advanced experience navigating Maya or Blender, alongside ZBrush for structural sculpting. Grooming Engines: Practical experience working with XGen or alternative modern strand/card generation systems. Texturing & Authoring: Expert-level mastery of Photoshop CC and Substance Painter is strictly required. Game Engines: Direct familiarity baking, testing, and deploying textures inside Unreal Engine or Unity pipelines. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points) Direct professional experience working on AAA game development pipelines.
