The Role We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our Brisbane studio. This role offers the opportunity to lead creative design efforts and influence the future of our games. You will work closely with the Lead Designer and Creative Director to shape gameplay mechanics, systems, levels, and player progression for our exciting projects. Your creative vision and leadership will be central to delivering engaging and memorable experiences for players across platforms. What You’ll Do From day one, you will: Champion the Game Vision – Ensure the game’s pillars and core experience are clearly communicated and embraced by the team and stakeholders. Lead Design Efforts – Own the creative design for gameplay mechanics, systems, features, levels, and progression. Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with cross‑disciplinary teams, including art, production, engineering, and QA, to integrate design ideas seamlessly into the game. Focus on Player Experience – Design quests, systems, and features that deliver a clear player fantasy and reinforce engagement. Review Deliverables – Critically assess design documents, prototypes, and builds to provide constructive feedback and ensure quality. Present & Advocate – Communicate design solutions clearly to peers and management, presenting ideas in pitches, presentations, and documentation. Mentor & Guide – Support junior and mid‑level designers, fostering growth and encouraging innovative thinking. Contribute to Ideation – Participate in brainstorming sessions and help shape creative solutions within project constraints. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: 4+ years of professional experience in game design, with a proven track record on successful multi‑platform titles. Considerable experience in established studios, including work on live service or premium titles. Experience designing for console, PC, VR, and mobile platforms. Strong understanding of quest design, player progression, and immersive gameplay systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively. The Role We’re seeking a Technical Animator to join our Montreal team and bring life to an ambitious Dungeons & Dragons® PC/Console project. This unique game blends action-RPG/survival with life-simulation elements, redefining the genre for players worldwide. You’ll report to the Animation Director and collaborate with the Senior Technical Animator, focusing on rigging, skinning, and runtime animation solutions that make characters and worlds feel alive. Responsibilities Build complex character, creature, and vehicle rigs, including secondary dynamic animations. Develop and maintain animation pipeline tools for efficient asset integration. Automate rigging processes with Python/MEL scripting. Create motion controls, including facial expression systems. Design and implement secondary dynamics (cloth, hair, facial). Support character customization pipeline development. Collaborate closely with animators, designers, programmers, and the character team. Qualifications 3+ years of professional production experience. Strong knowledge of Maya and rigging systems (FK/IK). Experience with Python/MEL scripting (advanced programming a plus). Background in Unity (Unreal experience is an asset). Proven ability to set up custom rigs for characters and vehicles. Familiarity with simulation systems (cloth, hair, facial).
