We are currently seeking an experienced, UK-based Freelance 3D Artist to join our team for an exciting new project. In this role, you will work closely with our Art Director to translate 2D concepts into high-quality, game-ready 3D environments and props. We are looking for an artist who masters the balance between artistic fidelity and technical optimization, particularly within the Unreal Engine 5 ecosystem. Job Summary Details Detail Information Role Freelance 3D Artist Studio Athena Productions Location Remote (UK-based only) Pay Rate USD $35 – $55 per hour Key Focus Environment modeling, prop design, UE5 integration Core Software Unreal Engine 5, Industry-standard 3D modeling/texturing suites Key Responsibilities Model and texture semi-realistic/realistic 3D props and environments Translate concept art into final 3D assets while maintaining proportions and vision Optimize assets for Unreal Engine 5, including Nanite Create modular kits and follow best practices in 3D workflows Integrate assets and textures seamlessly into UE5 Requirements Must be UK-based (freelance position) 4+ years’ professional experience in the video game industry Portfolio showcasing strong 3D modeling, texturing & UV mapping Experience with Unreal Engine 5 (including modular kits & optimization) At least one shipped AAA title Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal) Why Join Athena Productions?
